Clone equipment, accessories or software records

You can clone existing catalog records to create new records for similar items (e.g., adding similar phone models or laptops). This features saves you time by copying over information into a new record that you can edit or change as you need.

  1. Go to Configuration > Administration > Catalog Management.

  2. Open the catalog record of the item you want to clone.

  3. Click Actions.

  4. Select Clone. The Clone form opens. By default, all the exiting information for the original catalog record is included in the form.

  5. If applicable, edit the information.

  6. If applicable, clear one or more selections for Image, Compatible Equipment, or Available Providers to not copy the information into the cloned catalog item.

  7. Click Apply. The cloned catalog record is created and you are redirected to the Catalog Management page.

    All cloned records have the word "Clone" inserted in front of their Hardware Name. You can edit the name and any of the copied information.
